Educational Background
Mark graduated as the batch valedictorian of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, College of Science in 2016. He finished Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He was mentored by the Outstanding Young Scientist and Mycologist, Dr. Rer. Nat. Thomas Edison dela Cruz.
For his post-graduate studies, Mark graduated with an Excellence in Graduate Studies citation from the University of the Philippines Diliman (the national university of the country) for his Master of Science in Microbiology degree. He was under the supervision of the National Academician and UP Scientist, Dr. Windell L. Rivera.

Among his notable achievements include being the topnotcher in the 2016 Certification Examination for Registered Microbiologist conferred by the Philippine Academy for Microbiology.

Research Projects
